Chevrolet introduced the Camaro RS in late 1991 to regain its grip on the Coupe market. There are 4 trim levels for the Camaro in 1992: RS, RS Heritage Edition, Z28, and Z28 Heritage Edition. With two doors and spacious seating for four, the rear-wheel drive Camaro makes a statement. There is plenty of competition in the Coupe market, including strong offerings from Lexus.

1992 Chevrolet Camaro RS Specs

The Camaro RS is equipped with a General Motors 5.0 liter eight-cylinder engine that utilizes 16 valves. The Chevrolet engine is mated to a Hydra-Matic 4-speed Transmission. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for Chevrolet.

The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. Steering is handled through a power-steering gear-style configuration. The Camaro uses power-assisted brakes, with Non-ABS support. Load balancing is provided by coil front springs and coil in the rear.

The fuel system for the 1992 Camaro is a TBI system, running on gasoline . The fuel is regulated by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected TBI design.
