First Impressions 1994 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

The 1994 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 was introduced to compete in the convertible market. There are 2 trim levels for the Camaro in 1994: Z28 and Base. Chevrolet Camaro Engine Specs

The Camaro Z28 is equipped with a General Motors 5.7 liter eight-cylinder engine that utilizes 16 valves. The Chevrolet engine is mated to a General Motors 4-speed Transmission. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for Chevrolet.

The fuel system for the 1994 Camaro is a traditional SFI, running on gasoline fuel. The fuel is controlled by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The capacity of the fuel tank is 15.50 gallons.

Fuel Efficiency

The Z28 made 24 – 26 miles per gallon highway driving, while dipping to 17 in the city. This was a respectable number for the model year, but exceeded by several Nissan models available at the time.

We Think…

The 1993 model began the promise of the Chevrolet Camaro. The 1994 expanded on this success and has proven to be a strong seller in most markets. Even with strong competition from other manufacturers Chevrolet hopes that the Camaro Z28 will continue to be a profitable vehicle.
